This is where the Magic Happens.... in Post!

over and above most of my other images,

for an additional charge per image.

Generally, I have found that most clients purchase the artsy option when they are seeking to purchase a large canvas for a wall in their  home.

 (Keep in mind this option is only available if your sessions images comply with the simplicity needed to be able to take on its own artistic form.)
 
The AFTER image is the finalized image. After being completely retouched and enhanced artistically, this High Res image has been cropped to
a 16x20 scale and is ready to print on a canvas. 

....This is why I chose to crop out the arm and blur/darken the background, I felt it was distracting from where I wanted my focal point. In every image you always seek to capture a focal point, for me this images focal point was the eyes of the child. Along with the small bits of drool which are trickeling down his mouth to the lower part of his chin.  The cowboy hat was cute, but I didn't feel like it had much relevence since there wasn't any other supporting props in the image. 

For example, the image "before" was taken on a whim in the middle of summer. This was just a quick grab the hat and go session. I did this just to document his age at the time, obviously not planned at all. Sometimes this can be a key factor however to make an image beautiful. All it takes is the right look and the right lighting.  Sometimes props can overpower the subject causing us to be distracted from who our main should be....

The answer is ALOT!
It takes Alot of Time and Attention to Detail.
That  Majority of the time we photographers spend isn't during the session, its actually before and after the session takes place.  The session itself takes is alot less work compared to the hours in post or prior simply designing, planning or editing.
